The Purpose of Life

What is your goal in life? Is it to build a loving family and grow old together with your spouse, to live comfortably and leave your children financially stable? Maybe, it is to build a multi-million-dollar company and make all you can make while living a life of luxury? Maybe, it is prestige in this life? Maybe, it is to raise your children to become everything you dreamed of. Can I tell you, that the only purpose of this life is to serve God!

Isaiah 43:6-7

I will say to the north, give up; and to the south, keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the Earth; even everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

1 Corinthians 10:31

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Revelation 4:11

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

If this is the goal in your life, it is a great one. It will require changes in our day-to-day life. It may involve some loss but the gain is worth more than anything imaginable.

If there is anything in this life that you could give the people you love the most, what would it be? The most important thing we could do or give would be to give them the knowledge of the Savior. He was born to die for our sins. He is the greatest gift there is. We want to give the people we love the absolute best. Well, He is it.

To live a life dedicated to Jesus is being a living example to those around us. To tell others of His saving grace is showing them the greatest love that has ever or will ever exist. To lead others to salvation is to give eternal life.

These things are our purpose and when we live for Him, it is also our desire and pleasure.
